The Power of One

ONE person can impact the life of another human being. This mindset keeps our nonprofit alive and thriving. The beautiful love of ONE widow on a very small budget who sweetly gave and cared for others continues to compel our hearts. Her intentional efforts and a ‘Yes I Can Make a Difference’ attitude certainly made huge impacts throughout her life.

For decades, Maggie Bell Pope remembered individuals who were sick, hospitalized, or incarcerated. She made time to acknowledge birthdays, graduations, wedding anniversaries, and more. Her immeasurable love traveled many miles through her letters and greeting cards. She was well known for feeding people, providing transportation with her station wagon, and caring for children after school.

Mrs. Maggie made every moment of her life count for someone else. She did not discriminate her love. Sadly, in August 2005, Mrs. Maggie tragically passed away in an automobile accident. Even at the end of her life, she was still giving—this time as an organ donor. Mrs. Maggie was a great humanitarian who exemplified God’s unconditional love.

Seniors, Adults, Youth In Need, Inc. formerly Maggie Bell Pope Ministries was established to honor her legacy of love and service to others. In December 2005, Maggie Bell Pope’s Forget Me Not senior program began feeding and giving Christmas baskets to the seniors at Ft. Yargo Winder Housing.

Perhaps, we are not called to help everyone, but we can certainly help someONE. Please join our legacy leaders who are intentional and determined to make a positive impact in the lives of others!
